Jeff Saitas, PE, has been President at the firm Saitas and Seales since 2002, assisting clients with regulatory, permitting and enforcement matters before federal and state regulatory agencies and the Texas Legislature, primarily in air pollution control, but also in water and waste matters.
Mr. Saitas brings extensive public sector leadership experience, having served as Executive Director of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). In this role, he oversaw an agency of more than 3,000 employees and a $400 million budget, and represented the agency before Congress and the Texas Legislature on critical environmental and budgetary issues. At TCEQ, he was previously the Deputy Director of the Office of Air Quality and Director of the New Source Review Division, where he managed permitting programs and helped shape policy related to major air quality regulations.
He began his career in drilling engineering and oil and gas operations, designing and managing extraction programs. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
