Suzanne is interested in the challenges faced by local farmers as well as the hardships faced by those in the community who face food insecurity. She volunteers her time to help with these issues by serving on several boards including Farm grass (an organization providing support to farmers), Barking Dog Ranch (a working farm that raises chickens and cattle that is processed and donated to a local food bank), and Old Settler’s Music Festival (a non-profit that supports local musicians). She also actively participates in a community program that cooks and serves meals once a week to those in need.
